Taylor Dickson  was born and raised in San Antonio, TX where she began her dance training at the tender age of 4. Her training has been thorough with years of experience in many styles of dance and a concentration in ballet, jazz, contemporary and lyrical. During her younger years, Taylor was a part of a nationally recognized youth performance company which took her dance training across the country as she trained with some of the best instructors and choreographers in the industry: Mia Michaels, Andy Pellick, Travis Wall, Allison Holker, Joe Lanteri to name a few. She has been nationally recognized for her talents capturing numerous high score awards including the title of Miss Teen Encore Dance. In addition to her competitive training, Taylor was a member of the Johnson High School dance team where she went on to be Colonel during her senior year.

After graduating high school, Taylor attended Texas A&M University in College Station. Outside of her studies, she taught for a local studio and was a lead instructor for their introductory dance program as well as their mini/junior competitive company. Taylor graduated Texas A&M Cum Laude with a Bachelors degree in Childhood Education. She moved back to San Antonio shortly after graduating and spent her first year as the Pep Squad Director at her alma mater, Johnson High School.

Taylor has been an asset to Joni’s Dance Studio since she began choreographing for the Bulverde Dance Project in 2019. She is very excited to be welcomed onto the JDS Faculty full time and is thrilled to work with the amazing talent Joni’s Dance Studio has to offer.

Taylor will be teaching a wide variety of levels ranging from Level 1- Level 8 in the styles of ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical/contemporary and dance team prep. She is also one of the choreographers and instructors for the Bulverde Dance Project.
