COMPETITIVE COMPANY
BDP COMPETITIVE Company is the minimal commitment competition team option unique to Joni's Dance Studio. The goal of the company is to be an introduction to the competitive world of dance for younger or inexperienced dancers. Older and more experienced dancers with other commitments in their schedule but would like to still compete are also welcomed to our competitive company.
COMMITMENT:

Dancers will be placed into 1 group dance.
​
Dancers will attend all scheduled regional competitions- 3 regional competitions.
​
Dancers must attend 1 convention and will have the opportunity to attend additional dance conventions.
​
Dancers will be required to take 1-3 classes each week relating to style of group dance they are placed in.
​
Dancers will have weekend rehearsals - 2-3 weekends each month.
​
Dancers will participate in the Christmas Showcase(December) and JDS Annual Spring Recital(May).
​
Competitive company members may be eligible for solo/duet-trio work at the discretion the director. Please remember that group work is the primary focus of the BDP company.
